1.2 lb ground chicken
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 avocado
1-2 very thin slices of red onion
2 garlic cloves , minced
1/2 tsp dried sage
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
4 soft burger buns or sesame seed buns
1 avocado
arugula or other lettuce of choice
1 tomatoes , sliced
Steps
Mix the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, sage, salt and pepper into a bowl.
Form 4 patties, 1.5cm / 3/5″ thick, slightly larger than the buns (shrinks slightly).
Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat. Add patties, working in batches. Cook for 2 minutes or until deep golden, then flip.
Scoop out avocado from skin and smash on top of pattie with fork
Assemble with onion, bun, lettuce and tomato.
