Creamy Hummus

Serves:

6

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained & rinsed

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp tahini (optional, for extra creaminess)

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 small garlic clove (or ½ tsp garlic powder for milder flavor)

  • 2–3 tbsp water (to thin)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Pinch of paprika or cumin (optional)

Steps


  1. Add chickpeas, olive oil, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and 2 tbsp water to a blender or food processor.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding more water a little at a time if needed.

  3. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.

  4. Serve with fresh veggies, crackers, or pita.


Optional garnish: drizzle of olive oil, sprinkle of paprika, red pepper flakes or fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or cilantro).
