1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained & rinsed
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp tahini (optional, for extra creaminess)
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 small garlic clove (or ½ tsp garlic powder for milder flavor)
2–3 tbsp water (to thin)
Salt & pepper, to taste
Pinch of paprika or cumin (optional)
Steps
Add chickpeas, olive oil, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and 2 tbsp water to a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth and creamy, adding more water a little at a time if needed.
Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
Serve with fresh veggies, crackers, or pita.
Optional garnish: drizzle of olive oil, sprinkle of paprika, red pepper flakes or fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or cilantro).
